Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.
Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water systems, per reports from city officials.
At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.
Russian forces has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.
"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in supplying defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," was stated in a public message.
Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen missiles attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.
Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to fix the damage.
A wave of strikes hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.
Multiple people injured in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.
Regional authorities said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults overnight. A minor died and several individuals were hurt.
The assaults succeed evenings of air raids in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.
The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to detect.
Government officials told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting gas facilities.
He said utility staff and officials were bracing for further attacks.
